The Beneficial Microbes Symposium 2012 organized by Myagri® Group of Companies, is an inaugural event which brings various stakeholder groups in agriculture including planters, scientists and other industry players alike to engage in meaningful exchange on the various issues in relation to implementing beneficial microbes in the agriculture sector. The selected speakers will impart knowledge on the latest technologies and advances in the topic of beneficial microbes.
Objectives:
To allow stakeholders receive the latest information and advances on beneficial microbes.
To stimulate discussion and interest in the utilization of beneficial microbes in the agriculture sector.

I wish to thank you all for gracing this occasion. I am delighted to welcome every delegate and representatives to our symposium, and extend the warmest welcome to those who have traveled from distance. Dr Maria Viva Rini is the Head Lector or Lektor Kepala in Universitas Lampung or better known as UNILA. She obtained her first degree at Institute Pertanian Bogor in Agronomi the year of 1989. Later she obtained her Master Degree in Crop Science, Universiti Putra Malaysia in 1996. Pursuing her PhD at the same university i.e Universiti Putra Malaysia she then was awarded it in 2001.

En Wan Mohammad Zukarnain is Assistant Director, Horticulture Division, Department of Agriculture, Malaysia. He was graduated from Universiti Putra Malaysia majoring in Horticulture. In June 2011, he attended “East Asia Future Leaders Programme” under the Japan-East Asia Network of Exchange for Students and Youths (JENESYS) Programme by japan Foundation.

Dr Siti Ramlah Ahmad Ali is a Senior Principle Research Officer, Head Unit of Plant Protection Unit Malaysian Palm Oil Board (MPOB). She obtained her PhD in Microbiology from University Kebangsaan Malaysia and lead Microbial Technology Group (2009-2010), Leader Entomology and Mammalia Group (2005-2008).

Tn Hj Abdul Aziz Abu Bakar or wish to be known as Pak Aziz have vast experiences in the establishment of Palm Oil over 40 years and 4/5 years involved in RSPO review plantation company such as IOI and FELDA group. He has a Diploma in Agriculture from University Putra Malaysia in 1974. Started his career at Guthrie Group and then serves various plantation organizations such as Ketengah Jaya, LKPP and TDM. Now he is an External Auditor (RSPO) for Sirim QAS International Sdn Bhd.
